Cartridge and converter filling becomes the norm: Parker 45 and 75, Sheaffer's inlaid nibs, Montblanc's modern 146 and 149 shape, Pelikan's revised piston fillers, and a great many ballpoints and pencils. Many of the pre-owned bargains in the case come from these years, and most are simple to keep running.
