Description from Nathaniel
Few people ever went broke investing in the ballpoint pen. However, the Eversharp Fifth Avenue (and its predecessor the Eversharp CA) nearly bankrupted the Wahl-Eversharp company at the peak of its success and popularity. It bought the early rights to the first ballpoint patent. Unfortunately, those original ballpoint designs were not, yet, well researched and viable refills. Although Eversharp initially sold a ton of ballpoints, the company's generous return policy nearly killed them when the barely functioning pens started coming back as faulty. This Eversharp Fifth Avenue is one of the surviving examples of the classic vintage pen. You can see its unique curlicue design to hold even more ink. It does not work, but it serves as a great museum piece. The cap and pen have a couple of very small dents and light wear. 13.5cm capped.
