How do you showcase the awesomeness of the incredible innovations of the Parker 51? With the Parker 51 Half Demonstrator. With a clear lucite hood, customers could see the intricate nib, feed and ink collector system that helped to make this iconic vintage pen one of the first true mess-free fountain pens that almost never dried out. Our Parker 51 Half Demonstrator does not seem to have ever been used. The ink collector and "pli-glass" ink sac are still clear. Fill it with ink once, and you'll never fully clean the ink collector, again. We did not fill the pen or dip it to write, as we do not want to spoil its pristine nature. The steel nib looks like a fine. The cap and barrel show a little wear from rolling around wherever they were stored for the past 70-odd years. We will try to get better close-ups soon. Our camera's auto-focus is struggling with shooting through the clear lucite hood.
