This never-before-used pen in mint condition comes with its original box, proof of authenticity, and a blue MontBlanc ink well. The lower section (cone) includes a pattern inspired by the safety chain used when Passepartout uncoupled the cars during the Sioux attack (a reference to the Jules Verne work). Both the cap and barrel incorporate visual elements resembling mechanical valves and rising steam from a locomotive. The clip is decorated with a red heart symbol, referencing the bond between Fogg and Aouda (a reference to the Jules Verne work). Additional playing-card motifs highlight the bet Fogg made to complete his global journey in 80 days. The top of the cap displays a raised timeline marking the 36-day stretch from Yokohama to London and the full 80-day route around the world. The nib is crafted from 18K gold and inscribed with the dates of Fogg’s departure from Yokohama and his planned return to London. The nib also includes an illustration of a hot-air balloon, nodding to an early adventure from the Jules Verne works.
