This beautiful, untouched Montblanc Writers Edition Sir Arthur Conan Doyle limited edition 79/97 fountain pen is available from my private collection. Made from 18K Solid White Gold, this fountain pen is skeletonized with an overlay on several translucent, hand-painted lacquer fields, drawing inspiration from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s house Undershaw and an old street map of London. The clip comes in the shape of a magnifying glass and boasts the “ACD” logo. Hidden behind the logo lies a movable magnifying glass. Referring to Doyle’s interest in spiritualism, the engraved cap ring top can be removed, inspired by a sideric pendulum. This notion is again evoked through the engraving on the cone about a book that Doyle wrote about Spiritualism. The Au 750/1000 solid gold nib with ruthenium and rhodium coating features the face of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as well as a ship’s mast from his adventure novel “The Captain of the Pole Star”.
