This is the new logo for ThePenMarket.com.

Regulars to ThePenMarket.com have seen some pretty big changes around here! From our new logo to our new website, there is a lot to explore. Hopefully, you will like the latest changes and features even more than the original site.

This is the new logo for ThePenMarket.com.

We love the swashbuckling fountain pen crossing the T in this new logo that also features a drop of ink for the period of .com.

Redesigning your favorite place to find vintage pens and pre-owned pens took a whopping 8 months. With any luck, you will enjoy a much cleaner homepage and a better mobile phone experience for shopping our humble new website.

One of our biggest changes is the new filter on our pens and pencils pages. Clicking a check box or two can get you “write” to where you want to go whether you are searching by brand, price-points, nib sizes, era or filling mechanism! Our “On Sale” page is now called “Best Bargains.” We also updated our “Repairs” page to better demonstrate how we can bring your vintage pens to life.

Completely new to the site is a section dedicated to film cameras! If the photography on this blog hasn’t convinced you otherwise, I am something of a shutterbug. Like many people in recent years, I have rekindled my love of film and instant photography. As it turns out that many people who collect pens also love collecting film cameras, I thought I would take a stab a selling some fully restored vintage cameras, as well as the pens. Every camera we sell will have been tested for working light seals and shutter speeds that are within spec for each model.

As with any new website, there are bound to be a few little bugs and errors. Please let us know if you find any by writing to us at info@thepenmarket.com. It would be especially helpful to know what type of device you are using, its operating system and web browser. This information will better help us track down the bug.

Ruth and Chris G.

Ruth and Chris of Computer Friendly Associates breathed life into ThePenMarket.com for 18 wonderful years. As they ride off into the sunset as retirees, we cannot thank them enough of all of their kindness and support. Happiest of trails.

Before closing out this update, I want to give a great big thank you to the single greatest web team in the history of the internet. Chris and Ruth G. (owners of Computer Friendly Associates) were and remain the smartest, friendliest, kindest and hardest working people in web design and programming. For 18 years they took my ideas for this web business and made them a reality. Yet, for some strange reason they decided they want to retire and enjoy the good life without crazy people like me calling them at all hours with ridiculous questions about information technology and the internet, in general. While we shall remain friends forever, you have no idea how much I shall miss you as my own personal web gurus. Thank you for helping me bring this dream to light and for a million wonderful memories. I hope you have the greatest of all retirements.
