What “1900-1919” means here
The first self-filling pens: crescent fillers, early lever fillers (Sheaffer's lever was patented in 1908), safeties and eyedroppers, almost all in black or mottled hard rubber. The flexible gold nibs collectors chase come mostly from these years.
