The Roaring Twenties: Parker's Duofold "Big Red" (1921), Sheaffer's Lifetime white dot (1924) and Balance (1929), Waterman's ripple hard rubber, Wahl-Eversharp's Gold Seal (1928). Colour arrives as celluloid replaces hard rubber, and button and lever fillers dominate.
